It is solid walnut, with the grain left showing under a hand-rubbed finish, and it rests in a shaped groove cut into a matching walnut base. The plate across the front of that base is where the message goes: their name and title on the first line, the occasion or the years of service on the second, and your firm's crest, court seal, or association logo alongside it in full color. The metal band around the gavel head takes a line of wording too, so the gavel reads properly on its own.
All of that is included in the price. There is no extra charge for the logo, and no extra charge for using both surfaces.
The personalizing is done to order at our own facility in the US, which means two things: you are not waiting on a customized piece to come in from overseas, and if you need it for a date, tell us and we will work to it.
